Reproduction William Atkin boat design from the 1930’s. The design was a 335 class race boat called the “International Flyer”. Built in 2005, the sides are cold molded cedar and the bottom is mahogany plywood. The decks are red cedar over mahogany plywood book matched coverboards. Powered by V12 Jaguar engine.
This boat is a 1912 George Crouch stepped hydro-plane, planked with red cedar with African mahogany decks. Powered by a 1936 Ford flathead marine V8 motor. Commander McBragg won awards at the ACBS 2001 Coeur d’ Alene boat show.
The boat was in service at UW until 1971 when she was severely damaged in an accident. 1996, reconstruction was started by David Berg. David spent the next two years and approximately 1,800 hours of labor to bring the boat to this condition. Only about 10% of Conny is original.
Copernicus is a 24′ runabout, built by David Berg from a 1920′s George Crouch design called “Grayling Jr.” published in Motorboating Magazine. This award winning draketail launch is based on the 1902 race boat The Fairbanks No 2. The Fairbanks Meteor has the same beam dimensions as the Fairbanks No. 2, is similar in profile, but is only half the length of the No. 2. All casting was done onsite with the builder.
This reproduction a 1902 “Fairbanks” design Drake Tail Launch, was built in 2013. Her sides are 1/4 inch mahogany plywood and the bottom is 3/8 inch ply. The decks are red cedar over 1/4 inch ply with book matched cover boards. The launch is powered by a 1950′s Crosley Marine 26 hp engine. Like new condition.

Tashtego is a scaled up version of a 14’ 91 cu. in. racer circa 1930s by Willard andBruce Crandall. The boat is 21 ft. and is powered by a 302 Ford Kodiac marine engine. It is red cedar and honduras mahogany and has been built to a light weight.
